Indiana Veterinary Workforce Task Force

Goal: Study issues and research collaborative opportunities for veterinary medicine in Indiana related to the veterinary workforce
Method – task force investigates ways to connect with other state leaders regarding workforce issues, connect with PVM to conduct a survey of all veterinary practices in Indiana, and identify other ways to address the needs of veterinarians related to staffing.

Responsibilities –  IVMA members who wish to volunteer for a task force or working group should possess the following qualities:

  • Maintain an interest in that subject.
  • Have a willingness to attend meetings.
  • Respect differing opinions.
  • Possess good communication skills.

Have the ability to:

  • Work well with others in a team setting.
  • Participate in discussions and decision making.
  • Abide by the majority decision.

Time Commitment: The task force members should expect to contribute an average of 2 hours a month through 2022 to meet virtually and respond to emails/Slack communication.

Task Force MembersAll task force members shall be members in good standing of the IVMA.  The composition of task force members will attempt to represent diverse representation and thought. Task force members must act in the best interest of IVMA in executing their duties, keeping in mind the needs of IVMA members rather than political or personal motivations.

Location:  IVMA Offices; Discovery Hall, Suite 200 at the Indiana State Fair grounds or via Zoom/Slack/Email communications.
