Scholarship Task Force

Charge:  To consider and recommend a long-term, sustainable recognition of the IVMA Executive Director’s service to veterinary medicine.

Responsibilities – IVMA members who wish to volunteer for a task force or working group should possess the following qualities:

  • Maintain an interest in that subject.
  • Have a willingness to attend meetings.
  • Respect differing opinions.
  • Possess good communication skills.

Have the ability to:

  • Work well with others in a team setting.
  • Participate in discussions and decision making.
  • Abide by the majority decision.

Essential duties:

  • Develop a long-term endowment, scholarship or other recognition in honor of the IVMA Executive Director
  • Provide recommendations to the IVMA Board of Directors and the Board of the Indiana Animal Health Foundation

Time Commitment: 1-2 Zoom meetings/potentially in-person meetings of one hour plus electronic communications via email and Slack. Work to be completed by January 31, 2022.

Task Force MembersAll task force members shall be members in good standing of the IVMA and the make-up of the task force will attempt to represent diverse representation and thought. Task force members must act in the best interest of IVMA in executing their duties, keeping in mind the needs of IVMA members rather than political or personal motivations.

Location:  IVMA Offices; Discovery Hall, Suite 200 at the Indiana State Fair grounds.
