Welcome to the Indiana Veterinary Medical Association

The IVMA Recent Grad Forum is set for Sunday, September 21, 2008, in Lynn Hall at Purdue University!  Don’t miss this session geared especially for veterinary school graduates less than 10 years out of school.  All IVMA members are invited to attend, though, and participate in the forum. IVMA VIDEO UPDATE

New drugs and medical equipment are making our pets more comfortable before, during, and after surgeries.  The use of laparoscopes in veterinary medicine is just one more example of how advancing technology is helping our pets.   Also known as minimally invasive surgery, laparoscopy is reducing the pain of surgery and even helping to save lives!  Watch this video to see actual footage of laparoscopic surgery!

In The News.....

Over 38 8th graders from around Indiana participated in "Boiler Vet Camp" at the Purdue School of Veterinary Medicine in June. Plans are already underway for camp plans for next summer!

Over 60 golfers participated in the Indiana Animal Health Foundation Golf Outing which was held on May 21, 2008, at Chippendale Golf Course in Kokomo.  All funds raised benefit scholarships and other animal health projects of the Foundation in Indiana.
