126th IVMA Annual Meeting

Welcome to the Indiana Veterinary Medical Association 126th Annual Meeting, scheduled for February 4-7, 2010!  You are invited to participate in Indiana’s premier annual gathering of professionals in veterinary medicine.  Veterinarians, registered veterinary technicians, veterinary assistants, practice managers, and spouses/guests may register for the meeting.

The meeting will be held at the Indianapolis Marriott East (7202 E. 21^st Street)!  This location is user-friendly with plenty of meeting space, easy access, and complimentary parking. You will enjoy this venue for quality IVMA continuing education, fun, and fellowship! Attendees will be eligible for 23.5 hours of continuing education.

 

In addition to the quality continuing education being offered, there are other various activities associated with the annual meeting. A brief highlight includes:

• The Thursday continuing education offerings are now part of the 4 day registration!  More continuing education for the same price!  The program will begin at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday and will end at 6:30 p.m.

• Indiana Animal Health Foundation "Engaging the Future" Reception - Friday, February 5, 2010 ~  Enjoy a cocktail after a full day of continuing education, learn about the Indiana Animal Health Foundation, and enjoy a presentation from the PUSVM students on their summers' work! You will receive one hour continuing education for this event.

• Indiana Animal Health Foundation/Auxiliary Silent Auction

  Saturday, February 6, 2010 ~ For the 11th year, the Indiana Animal Health Foundation will hold a Silent Auction in the main foyer of the hotel. The proceeds will benefit the Indiana Animal Health Foundation and the IVMA Auxiliary.  Please stop by and bid on some fun gifts that will benefit a very worthwhile cause right here in Indiana. 

• Family Game and Casino Evening

  Saturday, February 6, 2010 ~ This fun and exciting evening will feature family games (Guitar Hero, Wii games), buffet dinner, cash bar, and gambling events with “IVMA money”.  Spend the evening socializing, gambling, and enjoying the fun activities of the evening. Bring the family!  This event is generously sponsored by Novartis Animal Health.

• Shelter Medicine Forum for the Public

  Sunday, February 7, 2010 ~ The 12th Annual Shelter Medicine Forum for the Public, organized by the Indiana Animal Health Foundation, is set for all day on Sunday.  A minimal registration fee of $50 will be charged to members of the public. 

• Staff Training Session

  Sunday, February 7, 2010 ~ This session features Dr. Ernie Ward. You and your staff won’t want to miss this! Staff may register for this one-day session for just $40 per person.
